What’s your philosophy on desserts, and do you follow any macro guidelines for them?

Desserts bring added joy and delight to Thistle customers doorsteps, and round out a more full meal plan. They will maintain Thistle’s standards around being gluten free and vegan, making them a great choice for people who traditionally might find it challenging to find treats that meet their dietary needs. We don’t have specific guidelines for dessert macros, but all of our desserts are plant-based, gluten-free, and contain no refined sugar! You can see examples of our desserts on the 'West Coast' tab of our menu pages here and here.

Are desserts available on the East Coast?

Yes, we just launched desserts on the East Coast as well!

How do I add desserts to my subscription?

Navigate to your Meal Plan page and select 'Change Plan' at the top of your Meal Plan Summary, and from there, select ‘Edit’ on the right side of your delivery cycle(s). Scroll down to find the Dessert icon and select the quantity you’d like, and scroll back up to save your changes.

How do I add a dessert to my upcoming delivery?

Click ‘Upcoming Deliveries’ at the top of your logged in Thistle page. Click ‘Customize This Delivery’ to the right of the delivery date you want to add desserts to. Scroll down to find the Dessert offerings for that cycle, click the plus sign (+) for the amount you’d like, and then scroll back up to save your changes. 

I’m a shipping customer, can I order desserts?

At this time, Thistle Desserts aren’t available to shipping customers.

Why are some of my favorite snacks no longer in the snack category? 

You may notice that some of your favorite snacks are now under the dessert category. We decided to move some of our snacks to the dessert section since they act as more of a sweet - though still nutritious - treat, and our snacks will now lean to the savory side in terms of flavor profile. You can still add your favorite bars or mousses to upcoming deliveries when they are on the weekly menu, just look for them labeled as ‘Desserts’ instead of ‘Snacks’ when editing your orders.

Why did I receive an Awake Energy Bar instead of the dessert on the menu?

If you have an allergen listed in your account and it's in a specific dessert's ingredients, you will receive our sunflower seed-rich Awake Energy Bar instead.
